My May hexies

A bit late, but here it is. I managed to sew 200 hexies on my La Passion last month. Think I have to sew even more every month to finish this large quilt before I'm 80. More than 17000 hexies take a long time. Here I have 2300 of them. By the way, can you see the monster staring at you here?

I found an old hexie quilt too, and have decided to finish it this year, hopefully. I've just one more row, and to applique it to a background fabric. I've started, as you can see.

My two half hexie projects grow with six new blocks every month. The same pattern, but really different they are.

At last I've started some pretty stars. Six of them are done already. And I don't really know how many I will make in the end. But they are pretty, aren't they?

Now I've just started cutting the next hundred hexies for my La Passion.

What wonderful projects you have worked on! Very inspiring even if they are WIPs! I love them all!

Oh, my!!! All astounding! I've been wantig to play with hexies for about three or four months now, but I have to finish some WIPs first, darn it. I don't see a monster in your first quilt top... I see a turtle, and I think he's adorable!

All of your projects are so pretty! I really love the colors you are using in the stars, and the bright scrappy one you just found is wonderful, too. Of course your "monster" project is gorgeous. I'm so impressed with your patience. I hope there are still a lot of years before you turn 80!

You aren't helping my resolution to only do one hexagon project at a time. Love them all and especially the colors in the stars. Do you have a finished quilt pattern in mind with the stars? I am curious how those piece together into a quilt?

I think I will join the stars together like this; http://no.pinterest.com/pin/550354016936393009/

I like it, too. Yesterday, on the shop hop, they were demonstrating one of the hex rulers, and this design is very like one that was on the wall behind the table. It looks great in person, so I know your stars will be wonderful in it!

Wow! Love that first hexie quilt's colours. Patience must be your middle name to work through so many hexies ;) Everything is always so creative and inspiring here. Wendy x
