Snowflake report
It´s quite big now, but my hollidays are over. I´ve got new pupils and I´m not sure if I am able to keep my summer speed of piecing :). But I would like to finish the top till Christmas.
August BOM on backing
I've stitched both July and August BOM blocks on white on white backing, here's Augusts - needing another iron : )

Hexagons!
I've been on a couple of coach trips and took my little suitcase with hexis to stitch during the journeys and made quite a lot,
but guess what?
There were other hexis to see ~
in Warwick Castle for example ( she's wax by the way lol)
and the lady in Warwick's The Quilters Den shop was making this dolphin in 3/8" hexis
and look at this for a ceiling !
thought a few non textile hexis might give you a smile just by way of a change : )

Hexi kit
I picked up these cute little suitcases at 'The Works' last week,
one set of 3 for £6 or 2 sets for £10!
So cute - and so cute, I had to buy them lol
Tomorrow I'm off on an overnight coach trip and want to take some hexis to stitch whilst sat during the journey and I reckon the smallest sized case should be just right!
Although this pic is the middle sized case having said that!

Snowflake report
Hi, I´m here to show how the hexie snowflake is growing. I´m still not sure about the size, I wish I could make all four blue lines/curves.

Checking in...
I promise I didn't fall off the face of the earth :) I had an extended family vacation this last month that kept me busy. I packed my hexagons, but only got through a small handful. No pictures to post either, but I sure loved looking at everyones progress!
New hexies
I made some new ones. I really enjoy how these are coming together. I can hardly wait to see how they look in a completed quilt. For now I'm having fun making all sorts and I'll work it together later.

July's Hexies
I am sure I got the 8 hours in for July. I added bigger hexies (2 1/4") to make a scrap quilt of flowers. I am also still working on the small hexie flowers in pink.
Here are pics of what I accomplished and will now take a count of the hours I did.
I made each of these and pieced them together. So that's 6 hours for the flowers and + 1 hour to put them together.
So I did 6+1+2= 9 hours!
Awesome...considering I had to pack up our house to get it ready to sell...
Had a small flood in the basement to deal with... I am happy with my hexie accomplishments this month.

I got 2 of the smaller hexie flowers done in July. So that's another 2 hours.

My July hexies
This last month I've been travelling around with my hexies, and actually I've done a lot. First it's my La Passion, and it passed 2500 hexies.
The zig-zag quilt got six new blocks.
The pink butterfly quilt also got six new blocks. Same pattern as the above quilt, but other colours.
I made two new stars in France.
This old hexie project is soon ready to be finished. A few more flowers like this, and I can start quilting.
The green flowergarden got two new flowers too. Growing VERY slowly.
And as if these projects wouldn't be enough, I was tempted to start a new La Passion. This time with other colours and a real mini. The hexies are the same size as the green one above, 1/4". The first hundred already passed.
On my blog you can read more about all of these projects. See you next month!
