Half hexagon project

This is how far I've come with my most recent hexie project. I made a new pattern, and have tested two different ways of putting the colours together. You can read more about this and find a tutorial on my blog. Please give me a word if you use my pattern. I'd love to see it in other colours too.

Cutting Your Own Hexagons

Geta has a tutorial and .pdf template download here for cutting four sizes from 1-inch to 2-inch hexagons. It looks like a winner to me - the only cost is for the kind of paper you like to use for yours. Since the SAL is 2-inch hexagons, I'm going to get the kind of paper I like and try this out next week. You can get other sizes by playing with your printer to reduce or enlarge the ones given. Be sure to read the whole post to see the best, fastest way to use the templates.

RHE: Design 12

I've posted Design 12 on CQ4Fun. This is a little different. There will be more animals and florals later, but I needed to see how these would fit together, whether it will go the way my mental vision does, so I made the vine I want to use on the white single-hexagon rows between the red blocks. That's the design that's up today.

Not Mine, but Cute!

I didn't want to steal her picture, so you'll have to go look at this cute mug rug with hexies! Darcibee's Flickr. I'm thinking of birthday and Christmas gifts and this turned up. I can do this!

Something different

Today I want to share papier pieced "hexie" pattern from Kristy at Quiet Play. She designed many cute patterns, this one is  June BOM And Sew On... and it is called A Stich in Time.  I wasn´t sure to post it here, but Susan from Desertsky Quilting left so kind message at my blog so I´m doing it. I hope you like something hexie-themed but different.
